1 – Your Innermost Thoughts

What you think about certain topics should be your believe and not what you try to inculcate into others. Giving a helping hand to a person or any other form of charitable work is very good and does a whole lot to the development of individuals and our society and its more value when you do not seek recognition for such benevolence. When you try to publicize how you have been helpful, it usually comes out to be some sort of boasting as many will have the thought that your initial intentions for such support was to seek popularity. There’s much virtue in adding value to people and remaining anonymous.

3 – Your Goals

Your plans ought to be guarded with all diligence until you are able to achieve them. Being loud about such plans can enable some other people steal your ideas and work on them better, dealing with loopholes you may not have noticed in your plans. If this happens, it will get you demoralized and regretful that you ever made your plans known to anyone.

  1. “What you think about certain topics should be your believe and not what you try to inculcate into others.[…] Learn to understand that your thoughts are your interpretation and not the objective truth”

Isn’t this an “innermost” thought? By writing this, aren’t you suggesting that this is an objective truth? Postmodernism at its finest. Truth is relative, except for the truth that truth is relative… that’s absolute!

    • Your thoughts can be applicable to a specific set of people. The issues you have mentioned are handled differently depending on culture and or environment. The more we become free to share with others our issues the more happier we become. For some people when the environment is so restrictive as you have described their productivity goes down as well. Lets take work light and not matter of life and death.

  2. Why? Supersuperficially mind!
Stay a secret – you’ll never reach to be yourself! Or eather find true friends!
    Keep on! ^^

  3. Some societies are more judgmental than others. In Asia, if you think differently from others, you are considered a deviant. Keeping your thoughts secret makes sense. In Western Europe, thinking differently from others is considered progressive and being open about what troubles you is considered ‘genuine’. Personally I trust people a lot more if they divulge their innermost thoughts and conflicts. A used car salesman never tells me his inner conflicts, and I don’t trust him either.

  4. You are right sir, I faced a lot of problems due to the behavior written above.. But I learnt from the problems & changed My behavior

  5. i think most of what you say is true but there often do comes times when you have to speak your mind. keeping your thoughts to yourself could lead to an unhappy life. for example if you never tell people what you don’t like about them they can never change their behavior and if others don’t speak out and point out your mistakes, you can never learn and change yours.

although, i totally get your point in keeping your goals a secret; I’m constantly paranoid about people stealing my ideas and it’s not a good thing. because of my trust issues, it makes it impossible for me to work with other people.

  7. Actually, I think if you are fully engaged in giving your time (not just money), you should let people know what you are doing in casual conversation; it is the only way to involve others. I foster dogs. We always need more fosters. I talk about my foster dogs (because, face it, dogs are fun), and some people choose to foster because of that, or volunteer time at the animal shelter. I also clean out my pantry once a month and take any canned goods to the homeless shelter. Several people I work with now do the same thing.

  8. Number two is irrelevant because only overt nut-bags will do such. The others who do the rest are nuts also but to a lesser extent and number five is contradictory. You may indeed air the family’s dirty laundry in exceptionally trusted situations and to individuals once you no longer return to or reside at Madame’s Stink & Dirty Laudromat! How can you shame the thrash heap? I love fresh clothes!

  9. It is none of my business what people or society think about me
As long as I know what the truth is about myself I have no time for that nonsense

  10. This is a recipe for concocting serious mental health issues. I’d understand it if the article was geared towards your professional life, but it doesn’t appear that way. Never tell anyone your goals & innermost thoughts? What kind of relationships do you hope to get if you follow that advice? Epic fail & horrible advice.
